What is the British Citizenship Test or Life in the UK Test
The British citizenship test, also known as the Life in the UK Test, is a requirement for those wishing to remain in the UK or become British citizens. According to the Home Office, individuals who wish to obtain the British nationality should demonstrate a certain level of the English language and knowledge of the life in the UK, its customs, traditions and culture as this is necessary if they want to integrate into the British life. Knowledge of the English language can be demonstrated by obtaining an English qualification at B1 CEFR or higher. Additionally, you can meet the criteria for the language requirement by giving proof of having undertaken a degree taught or researched in English.
